MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC MEETING OF THE TOWN OF
ST. FRANCISVILLE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN,
ST. FRANCISVILLE, LA, TUESDAY,  July 12, 2011, 5:30P. M

The Town of St. Francisville Board of Aldermen met in regular session this 12th day of July, 2011 at 11936 Ferdinand St., Town Hall, St. Francisville, LA.  The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p. m. with the following members present:  Mayor William D’Aquilla, Aldermen James R. Leake, Robert P. Leake Oscar Robertson, Jr., Abby Temple and Town Attorney Jesse L. Means, Jr. Absent was James Davis. The Pledge was led by Abby Temple. On motion by James R. Leake and seconded by Abby Temple, the minutes of June 28, 2011 were approved as circulated. Motion carried. PEC Update – Bianca Carambat could not attend the meeting 1. Sewer project is on schedule at this time. Mr. Mike LeBlanc of Postlethwaite & Netterville will review the sewer rates again on Thursday, July14, 2011. New proposed rates will be sent to the Aldermen. Mayor’s Report –Mayor D’Aquilla stated that the Extension Office has requested funding and that the gazebo in Parker Park needs repairs. He also read a letter to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen from Norman Ferachi thanking the town for their recommendation to place him on the West Feliciana Economic Development Commission. Villavaso & Associates will send someone to the Town Hall Friday to go over the zoning matters. Police Report- Chief Ford stated that he had no report. Main Street Report – 1. Movie –‘ GI Joe’ will be filmed starting August 1 through 20 at The Blue Room and Parker Park will be used for catering. 2. Julius Freyhan Foundation has a change of plans and has to have re-approval of plans. 3. Burger King has halted all construction nation-wide and will not build in town. 4. White Linen Night – New Orleans holds the trade name, town will get to use it for this year, but has to re-name the event.  A contest on face-book for new names will be started. 5. Address size  placement of political signs in town. 6. Two sets of signs, to be placed under the Welcome to St. Francisville signs, have been ordered. 7. Had to start locking the Public Restroom by the Jail at night because of destruction. Motion by Robert Leake, seconded by Oscar Robertson, Jr., the meeting was adjourned.
