Arlin Dease, owner and proprietor of Hemingbough and the newly formed Democratic women’s club (The Dem Dames of the Felicianas) announces, with great pleasure, former Governor and Mrs. Edwin W. Edwards will be honoring them at a reception and book signing at Hemingbough in St. Francisville. The signing will be held from 6 until 8 in the evening on Saturday, August 13th. Friends of the Governor are invited to attend.

Back to School Workshop for WFP students to be held Saturday, August 6th

Saturday, August 6th for grades Pre-K through 12th, Happi Llandiers Inc., will sponsor a Back to School Workshop at the WF Middle School. Registration will be from 8am-9am. Students and parents must be present on time to receive school supplies. All students must register on the day of registration. Parents will not be allowed to register for their children. They will not give out any supplies after the program. No Exceptions!! There will be breakfast and door prizes so don’t miss out.

A benefit for Capt. Michael Taylor WFP Sheriff Officer will be held on Saturday, August 6th at the Elm Park Rodeo Arena. This is a family event. The gates will open at 7:30am.
